


Eric Jacobson is one of the most prominent jazz trumpet players in the Milwaukee area. His approach to jazz is fresh and modern, yet stays within the jazz tradition generating solos with emotion as well as intellectual excitement. He is a faculty member of the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, teacher through All Saints Music Education, and instructs through his studio in Wauwatosa. Eric Jacobson has worked as a jazz clinician and performer in Germany, Switzerland, Holland, and London. He has been a guest artist at Carrol College and many midwest schools. He has performed with Maynard Ferguson, Slide Hampton, Brian Lynch, Rick Margitza, Mark Witfield, and Joe Farnsworth, among others. Eric is currently studying with one of New York's finest jazz musicians, Brian Lynch, and has also studied with Chicago-based trumpeter Mike Plog and North-Texas based professor Mike Stienal.
Eric is a member of the Free For All Quintet, the Al Anderson Quintet, the Luis Diaz Quintet, and performs in the Milwaukee and Chicago area under the Eric Jacobson Quartet. Some of the musicians Eric has performed and recorded with include: Luis Diaz, Barbra Olsen, Dave Bayles, and Berkley Fudge among others. Eric is currently recording his debut CD, entitled Inspirations, which will be released May of 2001.
